Regulus frowned, “Lily is the redhead, the one that James is always following around, right?” He walked over to where Lupin was pacing up and down, “I’m sorry, I’ve only talked to her a few times, so I don’t really know. Look, are you alright?” he put his hand on Remus’ shoulder, “I can’t be much help about Lily, but there’s something else, isn’t there. Something bigger.” He was trying to find a more tactful way of asking what was going on. A double life? Surely Remus couldn’t be involved in something like Regulus was, he definitely wasn’t the type of person to do anything like that. “I’m sorry. Like I said, you don’t have to talk to me if you don’t want to.” He left his hand on Remus’ shoulder, he had a feeling the man needed human comfort right now.
“I have a board meeting with the prefects. I have to go now.” Remus abruptly walked away from Regulus. He didn’t understand why the Slytherin was even paying him any attention. To add insult to injury, Regulus was a Death Eater. A Death Eater. If anything, he should be reported. Remus could not even bring himself to talk to his friends about himself being a werewolf, never mind a complete stranger.
Remus walked out of the classroom in a haste and practically ran to the Gryffindor common room.
